Looking at my shirts ...
I was looking at my shirts those days and keep thinking I need one of these: "Keepsake Theme Quilts will be treasured for years to come. You may have a collection from your favorite sport, hobby, or special vacation. You may be looking for the perfect gift to commemorate a family member's high school or college adventures. You may want to honor a special occasion, such as a birthday, wedding or retirement. We can help you transform a drawer of Tshirts into a special keepsake that is attractive and functional." Next big one
My next race: "Ford Ironman Wisconsin takes place in a sports-crazy town that is known as one of the best spots to bike in the United States, along with being the site of the University of Wisconsin, America's premier "party college." Those two attributes have a bit to do with why this race is so popular and so successful, but there is a lot more to the magic that makes this such a hugely successful event.
The two-loop Ironman Wisconsin swim takes place in the warm waters (75 degrees Fahrenheit/ 24 degrees Celsius) of Lake Monona. The competitors don't have to leave the water at the end of the first loop - they'll just swim straight around the corner of the swim start to begin the second loop.
Like the swim, the bike course in Madison is a two-loop affair. After running up the "helix" or ramp up to the transition area in the parking lot here at the Monona terrace, the competitors jump on their bikes and ride down the opposite "helix" to start the ride." [source: Ironman Wisconsin] Happy training until then --- Kjell

Hayden View Triathlon
I will race, out of my training today. Its gonna be the local Hayden View Triathlon, a sprint: "The Hayden View Triathlon, “Race For Children’s Health” is an event designed to raise awareness and funds for the Children’s Village and most importantly for children’s health. We have chosen a Sprint Triathlon so that as many children as possible can join. Friday night at Hayden City Beach we will put on a kids triathlon, with vendors, games, and fun. We want children to get outside and be active and learn to be healthy. Precision Fitness is teaming up with the Children’s Village to raise money and awareness for the great work provided by the Children’s Village. Healthier children today make healthier adults tomorrow and healthier parents in the future." [source: Precisionfitnesssolutions] Lets see --- Kjell

The power of mind ...
"Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants....
The race began....
Honestly:
No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. You heard statements such as:
'Oh, WAY too difficult!!'
'They will NEVER make it to the top.'
or:
'Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!'
The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one.... Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher.. The crowd continued to yell,
'It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!'
More tiny frogs got tired and gave up.... But ONE continued higher and higher and higher.... This one wouldn't give up! At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top! THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?
A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal? It turned out.... That the winner was DEAF!!!!
The wisdom of this story is:
Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic.... because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart!
I like this story, thanks Deborah for mailing me the runningstory --- Kjell
