Chris daughter

What a statement: "Tahlia: "Then why do you do triathlon for your job then? You don't have to be smart to do that. You always tell me sport is for fun. You don’t have to be smart to have fun!. I love school dad and I am going to be a doctor when I grow up. A doctor or maybe a teacher"
I was completely lost for words. How do you answer that question. She is right, you don't exactly have to be a rocket scientist to do our sport, and to be honest; sometimes I wonder if all of us have a brain at all to put ourselves through what we do (...)" One week to go

for the Ironman Malaysia. "With both defending champions (Luke McKenzie and Belinda Granger, both of Australia) back to defend their titles in Langkawi later this month, race day promises both steamy conditions and super-competitive racing." [ironman] I wanted to, but cannot:( --- Kjell

United

What a struggle with United! Last friday I booked tickets to DC, what took me allmost two hours. I had to call the customers service, because there was something wrong with their website. And I´m still trying to claim my broken pieces from end of the year. I´m just getting ignored!!! Oh well --- Kjell

Presidents day

"Washington's Birthday is a United States federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February. It is also commonly known as Presidents Day (sometimes spelled as Presidents' Day or President's Day). As Washington's Birthday or Presidents Day, it is also the official name of a concurrent state holiday celebrated on the same day in a number of states." Happy ...

Valentine´s day!!!
"Saint Valentine's Day (commonly shortened to Valentine's Day)[1][2][3] is an annual holiday held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions.[1][3] The holiday is named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). The holiday first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished." [source: wikipedia]

young cells

read this "Recently, scientists in Germany gathered several groups of men and women to look at their cells’ life spans. Some of them were young and sedentary, others middle-aged and sedentary. Two other groups were, to put it mildly, active. The first of these consisted of professional runners in their 20s, most of them on the national track-and-field team, training about 45 miles per week. The last were serious, middle-aged longtime runners, with an average age of 51 and a typical training regimen of 50 miles per week, putting those young 45-mile-per-week sluggards to shame." Why not ... "Ironman 70.3 Centrair Tokoname Japan will take place on September 19, 2010. Situated near the city of Nagoya in the Aichi Prefecture, Japan's fourth largest city, the race unfolds in the Tokoname City precinct surrounding the Centrair International Airport, a spacious and scenic area south of the city." fun sunday

That was a fun sunday and I was one of those 100 million watching the Superbowl. Well most of it. I still agree strongly witch Kevin M. article: Ironmanlife: Super Bowl vs. Ironman --- Kjell

Ironmanlife: Super Bowl vs. Ironman

I like Kevin M. view on this ... "Someone needs to explain this to me. On Sunday about 100 million people will tune in to the Super Bowl, where they will watch 47 members of the Indianapolis Colts take on 47 members of the New Orleans Saints actually play for a grand total of - are you ready for this - 12.5 minutes. There's no comparison between that and the Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, where you get to watch almost 1,800 athletes compete for anywhere from eight to 17 hours. What gives? ..." finish rich

This a great tool:
"Take The "Start Over" Latte Factor® Challenge
The Latte Factor® is based on the simple idea that all you need to do to finish rich is to look at the small things you spend your money on every day and see whether you could redirect that spending to yourself. Putting aside as little as a few dollars a day for your future rather than spending it on little purchases such as lattes, bottled water, fast food, cigarettes, magazines and so on, can really make a difference between accumulating wealth and living paycheck to paycheck."
