I had a Stopover in Singapore. Got to see a few things arround SunCity. Singapore: "Singapore is an island nation located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. It lies 137 kilometres (85 mi) north of the Equator, south of the Malaysian state of Johor and north of Indonesia's Riau Islands. At 704.0 km² (272 sq mi), it is one of the few remaining city-states in the world and the smallest country in Southeast Asia." [source: wikipedia] Hopefully I´m back home soon --- Kjell

Done ...

It did it again and it was number 15. And it was though. I struggeled a few times and I´m glad to be done with my job here. Well the awards and so tomorrow, but that is fun. Here I give you a little personal racerepord and it is not ment to be an excuselist, OK! We (Andre and I) got up at 4am and got everything togehter, before we went done at 5am for breakfast. Not a great time and situation for a fun breakfast, but needed. Down to the start, getting everything setup and the pros started at 7:30am. Not a good thing for me. I was allone all the time and got lost with directions. So it took me 5minutes longer out than back. Because the signs back in where allot better. And the worse thing, I swallowed a little pice of jellyfish and v... right away. My stomac was upset and that for the rest of the day. But well, thats Ironman. On my bike I wanted to take it easy at the beginning and I did. Had company and these guys where there for quite a while and all the time behind me of course. At K 125 I had a little heartbeat situation with 2 little boys. They got pissed that I wasn´t giving them my full waterbottles. So they decided to strow a pice of rope at my bike. Lucky me that I ride a discwheal. don´t wanna think about other ...if I was riding a normal wheal! Anway on the run my feet where num at the beginning and I was running painfull and extremly funny, but I managed to fix it and ended up with an solid 4:45-4:50km pace. After a long day I finished 17th out of 700 starters and got 9th Pro. Congratualtions do Andre, he finished just one place behind me 18th, GREAT job. Here are some Impressions from Ironmanlive.comPicture 1 Picture 2 Picture 3 I´m so done --- Kjell

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY for everyone in love or want to thing about someone. I´m here on Langkawi Island (Malaysis) getting ready for the Ironman and missing Blake. I love you and wish you where here or I´m in Moscow, at least togehter. I keep thinking about this sond: "Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice it's my disguise
I'm by your side..." I love you Blake --- Kjell

After a linght trainingday on Langkawi I will be back on my bike getting ready for Ironman Malaysia. This event will be in less than two weeks. "Lotto Ironman Malaysia takes place on Langkawi, a popular island resort destination in Malaysia. It's tough not because of the course, which consists of a very warm swim, a rolling bike and a relatively flat run course. It's tough because it can get really hot, especially during the run. How hot? In 2001 temperatures that reached 43 degrees Celsius (which is very close to 110 degrees Fahrenheit for anyone who thinks in those terms)." [source: IM Malaysia] --- best regards Kjell

What a change ...

What a change in everything (weahter, humidity, people, culture, training, relaxting, friends). Here my picture interpretation: The weather change from Moscow 20F to Langkawi with 90F. But it will change back in less than 3 weeks and I will do my best here --- Kjell

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR ...

Happy chinese new year! "Chinese New Year (simplified Chinese: 农历新年; traditional Chinese: 農曆新年; pinyin: Nónglì xīnnián; literally: "Agrarian Calendar New Year") or Spring Festival (simplified Chinese: 春节; traditional Chinese: 春節; pinyin: Chūnjié) is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is sometimes called the Lunar New Year, especially by people outside China. It is an important holiday in East Asia. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first lunar month (Chinese: 正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival (simplified Chinese: 元宵节; traditional Chinese: 元宵節; pinyin: yuánxiāojié)." so cool ... the Haka, ...

I think this is so cool. "A haka is a traditional dance form of the Māori of New Zealand. It is a posture dance with shouted accompaniment, performed by a group." [source: wikipedia.com] And here is another youtube trailer about the Haka. Keep fighting --- Kjell

Why not? "Go for Broke with Tabata Intervals"

I will try these Intervalle someday here on Langkawi. Makes sence and I´m tired anyway, so a little kick in the system, why not?
"What can you possibly accomplish in just four minutes on the bike? A lot, actually. All you have to do is ride as hard as you can. Better yet, instead of riding as hard as you can for four straight minutes, ride at your true maximum power-output level in several short bursts, resting just long enough between bursts to avoid a precipitous decline in power output from one burst to the next." [source: active.com] Happy training --- Kjell

I´m struggeling ...

I´m defently stuggeling. There are many factors. The weather change from Moscow 20F to Langkawi with 90F. Then there is the timezone change of 16h from Idaho, USA to Malaysia. But I´m trying not to complain, because the trainingconditions are great. I just miss Blake! Need to get on my bike and in the sun --- Kjell

thanks Sandy ...
