Life has now been explained to you.
Funny way of explaining Life:
On the first day, God created the dog and said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said, "That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?" So God agreed......
On the second day, God created the monkey and said, "Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you abtwenty-year life span."
The monkey said, "Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?" And God agreed......
On the third day, God created the cow and said, "You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years."
The cow said, "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?" And God agreed again......
On the fourth day, God created humans and said, "Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years." But the human said, "Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God. "You asked for it."
So that is why for our first twenty years, we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family.. For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.
Life has now been explained to you. This is funny, Thank Bill for the E-Mail --- Kjell

CDA
I´m back in Coeur d´Alene. It was another long journey: Hamburg (Germany) to Frankfurt (Germany), to Charlott (USA), to Denver (USA) and finally to Spokane (USA). And of course including hickups with the connections. Wrote this message a day ago and I was to optimistic, I guess. See what happened:
The hickups are that bad, that I´m not in CDA, I´m stuck in Phoenix for a night. --- Kjell

Disrespect ...
After my three races on three weekends on three continents, I had some time to think about it. It was not very clever and Tim found the perfect words for it. We disrespected the Ironman. Beside the racing, all the traveling and stress takes so much out of you, that it is hard to be in the shape you need to be. We all learn from it and watching Frankfurt and Klagenfurt yesterday, was so much fun. I never had the thought: I would wanna race right now. That is a good sign that I need to take it easy. I did three Halfironman and two Ironman within three and a half month.

Coach needed?
"Whether you're new to the sport of triathlon or a seasoned veteran, having a coach is a big step toward improved performance.
The structure and accountability that comes with training under someone else are two of the biggest reasons why triathletes turn to coaches to achieve their goals. But whatever your reasons, the big question is: Where do you begin?" [source: active.com] Feel free to contact me, I´m more than happy to help and work with you --- Kjell

Wow it is race day again. Including the time difference, I raced less than a week ago in South Korea. And the other fun thing is, I got the same race number #45. My shoulder and toe have seen better race mornings and I´m motivated and have allot respect for what is coming up. We start 35 Minutes earlier, what can and probably will be a nightmare for me ... bad luck ...
I guess. Well my racing recently was filled with great moments. The good side of it is, I learn allot. And we will see how this hard race will effect my Ironman next sunday. I´m probably losing my toenail and that will not be fun for sunday.
Yesterday, the water war cold (15,5C) and I had a terrible swim. Hurt my bad shoulder at the start and than getting on my bike was a struggle. After freezing for a couple km I warmed up enough to ride solid. I wanted to take it easy on the "flat" section, so I do not kill myself on the big climbing. That was not the right desicion. I lost quite some time and I came of the bike, after that hard climb with a OK feeling. Than starting the run it the fog (at 4500F elevation!!!) was allright. I started hard right away and made up quite some spots and did some for my CDA motivation. Finished in 5:29h (24th out of 600), I know not the greatest, oh well --- Kjell

South Korea
... is allways an experience: "South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea (ROK) (Korean: 대한민국, IPA: [tɛː.han.min.ɡuk̚]), listen (help·info)) and often referred to as Korea, is a country in East Asia, occupying the southern half of the Korean Peninsula. Also known as the "Land of the Morning Calm", it is neighbored by China to the west and Japan to the east, and borders North Korea to the north. Its capital is Seoul, the second largest metropolitan city in the world[3] and a major global city. South Korea lies in a temperate climate region with a predominantly mountainous terrain. Its territory covers a total area of 100,032 square kilometers and has a population of almost 50 million, making it one of the most densely populated regions in the world." 1. Mai
"The first day in "the lovely month of May" (Camelot) is a national holiday in Germany, Austria, and most of Europe. International Workers' Day is observed in many countries around the globe on May 1. But there are other German May customs that reflect the end of winter and the arrival of warmer days.
Tag der Arbeit - 1. Mai
Oddly, the widespread custom of celebrating Labor Day on the first of May (am ersten Mai) was inspired by events in the United States, one of the few countries that does not observe Labor Day in May! In 1889, a congress of world socialist parties was held in Paris." [source: about.com] A great long weekend --- Kjell

"Chris is not only an extraordinary athlete, he is also a phenomenon that he himself termed as social butterfly (for him his father is a social butterfly, and Chris got not only one feature from him), he is here and he is everywhere else. Das direkte Am-Athleten-Sein gepaart mit einer filmischen Inszenierung der Dynamik des Sportes lassen eine absolut originelle Welt entstehen, die den Profi, den Amateur, den Einsteiger, aber auch den Nicht-Sportler auf emotionale Weise über Bilder und Inhalte ansprechen soll. Das Ergebnis wird dann im HD-Format erscheinen." [source: Tri2b] Well done Dennis and Team --- Kjell

Approved !!!
Going back to the US on Tuesday. This time it was no problem at all to get the Authorization for my Tourist VISA Approved
"Your travel authorization has been approved and you are authorized to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program. This does not guarantee admission to the United States; a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer at a port of entry will have the final determination." [source: ESTA] --- Kjell

AHA ...
[source: Wiener Zeitung] --- Kjell

Preview IM China
I dont think the weather is bad at all. Even it would sound great at home, that I had another race with brutal conditions. But at the moment it doesnt look bad at all. We will see.
"Balmy blue skies are greeting athletes arriving in Hainan for the second Ironman China and Ironman 70.3 China, both presented by K-SWISS. There is no sign of the stormy weather that brought a typhoon to China's tropical south just days before the inaugural race in 2008. Still, as Ironman Chinawas labelled by many experienced athletes as being the toughest in the Ironman series, there is much speculation about the weather as the mercury appears to be rising." Right from the Pressconference
... here on Hainan in Haikou.
The race will be capture on sunday by Mr. Peter Henning, who won multiple Emmy Awards for his Sport shows.
Check out news on the Ironman China Blog!
Oh, and the news about a missing bike from one of the racefavourits Joseph Major sounds familiar to me. Hope you find one!
Lets have a fair race on Sunday ...

Traveling again ...
"Travel is the change in location of people on a trip through the means of transport from one location to another. Travel is most commonly for recreation (as part of tourism or to visit friends and family), for business or for commuting; but may be for numerous other reasons, such as migration, fleeing war, etc. Travel may occur by walking or human-powered mode, or through mechanical vehicles, either as private or public transport."
