Jeju´s Haenyo/Sea woman selling fresh fish
More for Youtube. It is fun traveling arround for races and you get so see so much that are fascinating. I stayed for the third time in Jeju, South Korea for the Longdistance Triathlon and these Ladys are just amazing. "The haenyo, literally meaning "sea women", are female divers in the Korean province of Jeju. They are representative of the matriarchal family structure of Jeju." [source: Wikipedia] So have a look: Jeju´s Haenyo/Sea woman selling fresh fish Enjoy your meal --- Kjell

2 nights an Airports
Realy I have to spend 2 hights at different aiports. That sounds pretty bad, but honestly I'm very happy if that all works out. Traveling those days is getting more and more challenging. The luggage situation is realy bad and than countrys like china, where you are not allowed to be at the airport and wait for your flight for longer than 24h. You need even for that a Visa. What if I have to sit there for more hours, like me? They just block your ticket and you cannot leave to get there. Finally United was so nice to change my tickets and now I stay one night in Busan (South Korea). Later today, I will catch my flight to Bejing airport where I need to figure out what to do until tomorrow. It will be fun, I´m sure. I keep you updated --- Kjell

Awards today ...
Well the awards are today and I´m excited what will happen. I´m thinking going on stage with a shirt that says, I´m not a liar, I wanted to race and have the best win. Thats the idea of longdistance racing and not a stage for important people to show their given power. Sorry thats wrong. And I do not blame the Racedirector or anyone from the team for that situation, I just hope the follow the right path and make some consequences. I keep you all updated and if anyone has a suggestion, let me know. Thanks --- Kjell
FXXX over ...
... I´m so mad, even the final solutions is not made. Well it was far from beeing a perfect day here on Jeju (Korea Triathlon Jeju 2008), but I would have won this thing, if everyone wanted. But it looks like the head-referee didnt. It´s new to me to get a drafting card, when you get! passed and say something to that athlet, all within a few seconds on a small inclime. Thats excatly what happened. I will not let that be that way! So far I´m second place, but we are talking about first and second in a longdistance race, that doesnt happen to often, if your are not Macca;-) I let you know --- Kjell

At a Highschool
Today I visite a Highschool and do a little speech about myself, about international athletes, about sports and asking some questions about Korea. This is gonna be fun and I let you know how it went. And I hope my back stops hurting, I went to a massage yesterday, it was painfull but felt good. But it still ot gone. Lets see how the last 1 1/2 days go. I just remeber the quote from the Marines: "Pain is weakness leaving the body!" Well than, I´m ready for sunday --- Kjell
JEJU Island
I made it to Jeju island and had some good training sessions. It was a long journey and I miss talking to Blake. With a broken computer its hard to be everywhere and nowhere. Here some impressions from Jeju: (Jungmun Beach) (fun public phones here, but they dont work!) (Jeju from the top)
For Korea I expected a hot and humid race and I will do well, I know --- Kjell

On the road again
... I´m on the road again, but compare to other trips this first trip is short. I will go by train to Wiesbaden and work for Biestmilch arround the Ironman Germany. This will be exciting and hopefully the right motivation for my race in Korea. Not that I need extra motivation right now, I´m ready. So lets get moving --- Kjell
